Mountain — Process and Honzo
Process: Kona's full-suspension trail/enduro platform. The Process 134 is the trail bike (140/134 mm); the Process 153 is the enduro variant (160/153 mm). The Process uses a four-bar linkage tuned for progressive, playful handling.
Honzo: the legendary aggressive hardtail. The Honzo — with its slack geometry, long reach, and aggressive tires on a hardtail frame — defined a category. It remains the reference for what a fun, capable hardtail should be. Available in 29" and 27.5", steel and aluminum.

Kona's identity and recent history
Pacific-Northwest freeride: Kona was part of the Pacific-Northwest freeride movement of the late 1990s and 2000s (alongside Norco, Rocky Mountain). The brand's identity is built on progressive, fun-first mountain biking — the Stinky (freeride), the Process, and the Honzo all embody this.
2024 restructuring: Kona changed ownership and underwent significant job cuts in 2024. The brand's future scale is uncertain, but the core model line (Process, Honzo, Sutra, Rove) remains in production and retains a loyal following.
Value and fun: Kona's positioning is value-oriented and fun-first. The Honzo and Sutra, in particular, deliver capability and character at prices that the premium brands don't match.
