Wedge placement and quantity

Wedges are typically 1 to 2 degrees of angular correction each. Most fitters start with one wedge on the side indicated by the knee tracking and reassess after a few rides. Stacking more than three wedges under one cleat is usually a sign the wedge is compensating for something else — a saddle height problem, a cleat rotation problem, or a structural leg-length issue that needs a shim instead.
