Wheels Work at Yaw You Actually Ride

Deep-section wheels matter most at yaw angles of 5-15°, which is what you actually experience on most roads. At 0° (pure headwind) the gains are small; at 15° (crosswind) deep wheels can even create a small amount of forward thrust, like a sail.
